Full system...only way to go. I did have the first BB system. This blows it out of the water. Nothing bad on BB's part, this system just had a lot more R&D, and is Titanium, and a full system. It is not really fair to compare them.

Let me know if they every get that dip fixed for ya? How much more HP and Torque are you getting at the wheels with exhaust and ECU tune? Did you do a Dyno after? I am thinking about getting the same exhaust and ECU tune from them but have not seen any Dyno gains from this setup as of yet..

And the the in-house dyno that Akrapovic uses to R&D their exhaust systems is pretty trick as well.

I wonder that in-house Dyno missed that dip

Great! Keep us posted on if the ESS software resolves this problem.

They probably didn't.

Since other aftermarket exhaust manufacturers are starting to see the same thing, I suspect they were on the phone trying to find a solution. That's a software problem that few exhaust manufactures are capable of solving all by themselves. (in-house)

The stock engine ECU isn't that easy to tune without the right tools and training.

Knowing there is a problem, and being able to fix it are two very different things.

You'll hear more about various 'dips' in the rpm band as more exhaust products hit the market.

The tuners out there who can re-write new code values into the stock ECU, are salivating right now.

Some 200 cell cat's won't set off a check engine light... if they're placed up front where the stock primary cats are.

So, are those resonators or cats in this system?

I don't care too much about passing smog because for $100 bucks you should be able to swap out for a test, I care more about the check engine light. Has Akrapovic found a solution for this yet with US spec cars?

Most people think the sound is awesome; myself included. The gains are very good as well. If you think this is crazy expensive, check out the amuse exhaust ; )

I would have considered this myself, but didn't want to deal with the inspection issue and CEL.

Andy, if you see this.

How's the sound compare between the B&B vs. Ak? I've heard the B&B and thought it sounded pretty good, and the owner said it doesn't drone.

they make a great product. we have used them on our race bikes in the past. i was glad to see them transfer over into the car market. they do a good thing for the race bike industry by making very competitive race systems for the 94db restriction in our sport.

with all the tree huggers out there our sport is very threatened to the point where people can't even ride on there own land. imagine that huh??

i commend this company for what they have done for our sport and the quality of there product. i would only imagine it would transfer over to the car industry. look at this beauty they make

Mine is getting installed on Wednesday.
The quality is amazing, especially when you consider how tricky it can be to work with titanium.

I wish someone from their company would chime in on this CEL issue and the lower rpm dip issue as well.
