thanks ska, was it really necessary to post at all if you think its useless?

we havent gone to the track yet, just a couple races on the road which he will say wont count, but i got off the "line" before him and was ahead when we hit traffic so i feel pretty confident, friday is the big day!

I was hoping this thread would be more like a 335 coupe (twin turbo) VS a Acura NSX.....oh well is still a BMW vs a Honda

87 = 244hp
93 = 254hp

I dont have the link but it has been dyno tested as well if you go on www.vtec.net you can search there.....

Frankly, I hate to see the name 'Accord' showing on the subject line. I will NEVER put a BMW side by side with the old cows Honda sedans

. It took me losing $15k in 2 yr on the Accord and paid $70k for a BMW; while I have been so proud to be one of the members of a BMW forum, now whenever I am seeing this Accord thread, I feel I am back to where I was again.

haha, easy there cntlaw, Honda builds some great cars, for what they're built for, i.e. comfortable sedan to ferry passengers around, they're pretty good, plus in general they last a long long time and the resale value holds up pretty well

ps. and for fck sake, a hp number of an engine does not make one car to be comparable with another, especially we are talking about comparing any other cars with BMW and Benz!

was tailed by an accord the other day...i didnt floor it only took mine to 160kmh as my car is still under 2000km... but i when i slowed down for traffic ahead on a freeway, keeping him tight behind me. when traffic clear, i floored it from 100kmh - 160kmh but keeping the RMP under 4000, he was having hard time to keep up not untill i let him pass...oppps that's only a 2.4Vtec accord..

My wife has an '05 Accord V6 and I have 325, the 325 is faster and just thinking about the Honda's cornering makes me start to laugh.

It does what we bought it to do though, eats up the miles and keeps on running. 10 months and 20K miles.

I was practicing launches, and turned DTC and DSC off but my car will only go up to 3k rpms, well i only got that high, how high should i go to get optimal launch?

use manual shifting if you gonna race someone, or just use "DS"

I think you'll loose to this Honda Afford even if you drive a 330...lol
