Sorry for all the questions Malek
The diff whine wouldn't be louder than that setup. Some cars whine more/less than others depending on the diff oil that is being used (FM vs. non FM fluid).
Malek can you pm me price for the solid subframe and derlin diff

I'm out of town. Dropped it off for the week while I'm home. I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow.

Yes, those are Delrin TMS bushings. I went to pick up the car today and I'm getting a strange rotational noise when the load is taken off of the differential (ie clutch is disengaged or I let off the throttle). There is also a slight steadily increasing in pitch whine which I really can't even tell under acceleration. This noise is the normal noise and is barely, if at all noticeable over the AA catless full signature exhaust and supercharger whine. Could be an install thing, but I think my differential is bad. The tech is taking it all apart, checking for any damage and ensuring everything is torqued to spec during the reassembly. Either way, there is a lot of slop in my differential (which makes sense at 74k miles). I'll eventually have a whole new car in no time. Any recommendations on differential options for a VF620 6MT setup?

Other than that the car felt very planted under the limited driving I did. I didn't want to get too crazy or run it too long in case something is eating itself up under there. The struggle continues...

OP's review is spot on! I had the solid sub/delrin diff done today. I have only driven it for a little bit but I noticed a few things: going over bumpy roads it is much more planted and I don't have excessive wheelspin like I used to, I used to have a stutter at the beginning of the clutch engagement (it's gone) and when I tried to hang the tail out at a 45 degree angle it just stuck with just a little bit of wheelspin(Euro MDM on). I'm NA with TP's and tune and Megan exhaust and I can only hear the diff whine if I really listen for it. I was hoping it was a little bit louder. Because race-car.

I highly doubt the diff is bad and "a lot of slop at 74k" is not normal. The oem has a lot of drivetrain lash which is def now exaggerated from the bushings but diffs shouldn't go bad or have slack after miles

Here's a clip of my diff. We put a 2013 E92 up on the lift to compare and none of that clunkiness was in the newer model. This is after installing the TMS Delrin bushings. I'm not sure if it was happening before.

I am not convinced we are seeing anything out of the ordinary here. Its possible the solid diff bushings are making the diff lash louder. There will always be some clearance in the diff gears. Its possible yours a little on the large side though.

Next time I have mine in the air I am going to experiment.

The 2013 had just a little click. Nothing like that.

Yes it should make some noise when moving back and forth. Yours does sound louder than normal, but it's also through a video so it's hard to say. I wouldn't say the diff is shot right away though. What fluid is in it?

I had the fluid changed about 6k miles ago. They said they used the OEM fluid with friction additive.

I have to give Malek big props. Malek is the first and only person with correct knowledge and experience with solid subframe and differential bushings. Without his knowledge I would have never let my car be one of the first batch of cars to go full solid sub-frame and diff mounts.

Because of his contribution, and his well engineered subframe mounts, more people are installing these and realizing that the car should have been built with them.

I stand behind Malek's MRF solid sub-frame bushings 100000%. Plus his installation his impeccable.

+1. I haven't done this mod yet but I am strongly considering it. I wouldn't choose anyone other than Malek to do this work. It's interesting to see some remarkably similar products recently released.... I will be sticking with MRF if I make this change.

Well said! Malek is a great asset to this community. It's the first time in my life I was going to go out of my way to give a vendor business. Unfortunately I needed it quick and the overnight for a $300 part was $80 so NO-GO. He still talked to me for a while after realizing I wasn't going to order from him too. He really is a stand up guy!

The car is sitting at BMW. I'm waiting on a rebuilt differential from TMS.
