That's it? That's all you've got?
So instead of thanking us for the information, or apologizing for unfair and ignorant bashing on one of the serious players in the segment, you turn smartass? Are you posting from a dorm room, or on mommy's computer at home. |

I don't have to do anything!
I am 36 and never went to college so I can't speak of a Dormroom; however here I am in my own house that I own in sunny south florida and on my own computer, while your up in shitty ass lancaster pa, enjoy. Oh wait, I see now, in your signature.... an ACURA TL??? so you are not even qualified to speak about the M3... while I drive the car everyday, you can give more info about it in comparison to another car while you don't own either one !!! so I need to thank you for information about a car that I own and drive everyday while you have no clue! Have you ever seen an M3?

ok, maybe I shouldn't have been so harsh in response above, but I'm not erasing it as you are out of line my friend.
I should be able to state my opinions and that is mostly what it was.....especially in an M3 forum.

I live in Florida, own my own house, and type on my own computer. That doesn't change the fact that everything bruce said is correct. I wonder how many CTS's you test drove. I know I did.....I drove the non V. Interior was nice, on par with the 3 series. I just wasn't impressed with the 300 DI motor. Nice power, but the car overall didn't have the feel of a sports car, similar to the 335i that I drove. I would give the edge to the 335i in overall feel. But both were very bland when relaying information and emotion.
Oh and the reason I didn't buy a CTS-V? It wasn't out yet.

Instead of saying something like "The M3 interior is better because...", or "The M3 has lapped such and such a track quicker than the CTS-V by N seconds...", or something else to defend or bolster your opinion, you suggest anyone who gives props to the CTS-V needs to buy one? With that level of attack, dorm room came to mind. Oh, and by the way, I have a couple of hours in an M3, more than half of that time bashing on it, and about half that in the Cadillac. Completely different cars that drive completely differently. The CTS-V is more of a cruiser, but I must say I was completely astounded by how it could lunge and pounce for such a big and luxurious machine. So, can you actually defend your opinions? Anything on "...and it does beat the caddy on the track!!", for instance? Bruce |

stop hating, start loving.
M3, CTS-V, they are all great cars but in different characteristics. No need to bash one another.

I think you guys should stop comparing internet and magazine reviews and just go drive both cars M3/CTS-V.
The V has some serious hardware and IS a competitor to the M3/M5. It may not come from the same racing roots as the M camp, but it does has some impressive features that make it a contender. This is from a guy who has an M3 and has had his fair share of performance cars and track events. Do you really think the demographic this car fits (established professional /family man) will go to the track every weekend ? Probably not, if they're lucky they'll do one or two track days a year, and barely unlock the potential of the car. Again stop whining and complaining and go test drive the cars. Buy the one that you like and enjoy it. Steve |

Cadillac deserves credit for taking a position on aesthetics with these cars. They might not be for everyone, but I'd say that they look novel in an American way.

its sad to see so many bimmer bubble owners. I got a bimmer and a zo6. I respect both cars, the ones that talk shit about em are the ones that hate anything they dont own. Respect all cars for what they are.. I would never beat on my Bimmer the way I beat on my GM product, these cars were built to take beatings. The new V is no joke. |

My M3 is the best thing since Peanut Butter with salmonella. I haven't driven the CTS-V but I've peep'd the specs. Not big on the looks but the power is there... I want to test drive it. I wouldn't mind having both in my driveway.. hehe.

I, for one did.
My CTS-V is on order. woot. It was a hard choice, because it came down to the wire between the m3 and CTS-V and they are both so great, i finally resolved it by thinking its impossible to go wrong either way, so why not try out the one with 556 horsepower |

I drove the non V and didn't like it but still a nice car. I was not "bashing" it by any means earlier and please post after some time in the new ride!
