My 2013 E92 ZCP AW Build thread(Pics)
Hey guys, I've been on this forum for a while but haven't really posted much. We have some great people on this forum and I plan to be a part of it forever. Back in August 2012, I decided to trade my 93 Toyota Supra (850hp), for something more streetable and enjoyable. Something that I can take on a cruise and not beat me up, yet something that will put a smile on my face whenever I mash the gas. I've owned many fast cars, 04 STi, Supra both heavily modded, but they were not as refined as the M3. They were basically street toys with a lot of power that would basically beat any car on the street. As I have grown older, getting married soon, I wanted a car that I can still have fun with, my fiancee can drive, something more practical than an 850hp Supra with a roll cage lol. I traded my Supra to a private seller for his '11 E92 M3 base 6-speed. I loved the car so much that I traded it in on Jan, 7th and ordered a 2013 E92 M3 AW ZCP/ZPP. I wanted some more bells and whistles like NAV and EDC. Now I have exactly what I wanted After months of waiting and the mod bug killing my bank account, on March 14th my baby arrived. Big thanks to all the vendors on these forums for great prices and excellent customer service! The mods that I bought while waiting for the car are as follows:
OEM CF spoiler, (BMWPartspros) CF front grills, side gills and hood vents (IND) Painted reflectors and key hole delete and black M3 badge (IND) MS Spacers 15f/12r (IND) CF emblems, wheel caps (JB speed) RPI scoops black (JB speed) Revinora R-CRT street chin thanks to ROB LUX V3 6500k AE MS drop-in filter (EAS) Milltek exhaust (from my previous '11, had in Cerakoted black) Whole front end clear bra with 3M PP (TintShop Rochester, NY) 35% tint all around, they did an amazing job with clear bra and tint. All mods were done myself with a little help from friends and beers. I wanted everything Carbon fiber to match the roof. The quality of the products from these vendors are second to none. In the future I am planning to get CF side mirror covers and a BPM tune. Hopefully after my first 1200 service. I am getting married so money is a little tied up with that but there is plenty of time as it only has 300 miles on it so far lol. On to the pics, sorry if some are crappy but I had to resize them and I don't have a professional camera. Any feedback would be appreciated, positive or negative. Thanks! |

Yeah it does need some finesse and patience. Have a buddy help and tape it up for you while you put in the stock hardware. Once you have all the stock bolts in the back, I used 6 #8 self tapping screws for the front of the bumper. Double sided tape will not hold it in place. Took about half hour total to put it on.

Gorgeous car! Still on the fence about the spoiler for my car which will be jerez black... looks fantastic on your white car!
btw, your license plate is clearly visible in 2 of the shots despite you going out of your way to block it out of all the other shots. I don't see what the big deal is... you drive around with your plates visible to the whole world anyway. |
