Except they claim you don't need an ECU tune... Yet Omar from AA says you do

I need to talk to Omar on that, I was lead to believe you need nothing if you get the high flow cats.

why get them if you still need the tune ?

Just called. Yeah, some issues. They are aware of it.

The 300 cell worked fine in the past on other BMW cars but the new M3 has more sensitive O2 sensors so they will sooner or later throw a code based on how the car is driven. This may be what occurred during testing and it took a while to throw a CEL.

Either way they are aware of it and are looking at various solutions.

Their main comment is they want take care of their customers and are working on solutions as we speak.

We'll know more in the coming weeks. There may be further testing involved.

I know, I am disappointed too. I am gonna hold off and see what happens, my exhaust is still all boxed up.

Not worth getting too wound up until we see if there are good solutions.

Secondary cat delete. Just did it. Small fraction of the price and sounds awesome. No need to mess with ECU. Factory already is x-pipe with resonators.
