I found that you had perfect access to the air bleeder if you removed the duct in the picture. Two torx screws and two clips and its off. Gives enough room to get a 10mm box end wrench around the bleeder and acceptable room to turn the wrench. Not bad at all really.

I don’t think Mike is willing to help with this, so to get it done, I need to find another tuner. Yes, all is well with my car, just the same minor bugs that have always plagued this setup but nothing that is not livable. I put a ton of miles on the car and at least it is very reliable. I have already put 30,000 miles on the car since Harrop install. I have done nothing lately short of a “Ricer” full titanium engine bay fastener overhaul. Some will like others will hate. Personally I like it and probably shaved off a whole pound, Ha!

Mike won’t do e85 period regardless of the supercharger kit you have. He will only want you to use a proflex commander which hardly make anymore than a 93 tune. Glad I switched to Rk tunes from Bpm.

I want an “active” tune using a flex fuel monitor for ethanol percentage. Also want to solve the AIT issue, and trust me it is a major issue.

That’s one characteristic I miss about my N54 that had flex fuel.

100% satisfied with his tune.Running full e85.I’m not going to bash Mike but I will be straight up.I purchased his upgraded injectors red clip to run e85.I was informed by him the fuel pump would prevent me from doing so, well I copied the n54 guys and added a secondary fuel pump. Afterwards he no longer wants to provide e85 tune and if he does he won’t provide any support and charges 200$ to read data logs. I busted up laughing and hit up Jordan. Provided me a file for my ID 1000 after doing some data logs sent them back and he made some fine tuning. He could of done the Porsche injectors as well but I’m going to be building the motor soon so I just went 100% in.

Hello I have to replace the gasket on my valve covers and I am Harrop supercharged I was wondering if there is anything else in need to do or should do while my valve covers are off and my supercharger plenum is off. Do I need to replace any seals or gaskets with the supercharger system. Thank you very much

Vanos covers. oil separator gaskets and o rings. The oil cap wears out and causes a leak confused with leaking valve cover gaskets. There’s a separate metal gasket on each side on the front of each valve covers. Can consider cam position sensors or just the o rings. Spark plugs, spark plug tubes, fuel injectors, ignition coils ….it can add up fast depending on how long you want to keep your wallet open. There’s a few threads on the topic. The only thing internal though are the vanos covers. |

All of those things require the removal of the supercharger to replace. It suddenly becomes a much bigger problem if one of those items has an issue, and you are not close to home, or on a road trip or something. Now you need to find someone that is not only capable of replacing the offending item, but willing to deal with removing the supercharger as well. |

I tried to bleed the system but it didn't appear to have any air in it. So I started up the pump cold, and I could hear what sounded like air moving through the system, seemingly somewhere down around the pump. I then drove the car far enough that it had ample time to fully warm up - including some high-rev shenanigans - and when I arrived at my destination, I popped the hood and ran the pump hot. To my surprise, the sound of air in the system was completely gone, making me think the air may just collect when the intercooler circuit cools to ambient, and then works itself out as it warms up. In any case, I can't detect anything negative in performance of the car. |

I should probably clarify I don't think air is "collecting" in the system but rather moving around. As in maybe it rises to the top (reservoir) when it comes up to temp. I dunno, best hypothesis I have.

Does anyone here have trouble with the 2-3 shift? Before the supercharger, that shift was a bit tricky on my car with 100k mile engine mounts, but I had the mounts replaced with new OE units when I had the bearings done, and it was like new after that. Fast forward to the Harrop, and it feels a lot like it did with worn mounts pre-supercharger. Anybody else dealing with this, or else running different mounts? This is only an issue when shifting at high revs.

Before SC, I occasionally had problems with the 1-2 shift only if I was shifting super aggressively.
I found out it probably happened because I hadn't fully depressed the clutch pedal by the time I was trying to engage 2nd gear (transmission not completely disengaged). Now with more power I seem to short shift the 1-2 as 1st is somewhat traction limited and, if I slam second gear, traction control will kick in and pull power. So I found that the car is way quicker if I'm not aggressive in the 1-2 shift as the car doesn't get unsettled.
