Well...anyhow, just discovered a cool feature with Harry's Lap Timer Grand Prix edition -- multi-cam. Tested it today with two iPhones -- quite impressive. I'd like to pair the data from the M Power App but...

And yes, we are officially in Fall as of last week, so we missed the "later this summer" release statement Those east coast boys will be putting their cars up for winter soon.

It's on iTunes
Well, I think so.
The app date is 3 October 2013; but the name is "BMW M Laptimer" which is a bit different than "BMW M Power App" From the screen prints, it appears to be the same thing. I've downloaded it, but can't test at the moment (it requires being plugged-in to BMW Apps, and my M3 is at the dealership right now getting a combox replacement). There seems to be more info on it available at the iPhone iTunes version than the iTunes Player version (PC/Mac). Here's the URL: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bmw-...684370062?mt=8 - V .

Probably not in the Canadian store yet. Downloads in the US store just fine.

I was able to download, and can see the two test laps at the Maisach Driving Academy. I'll hook it up to the car and test on the commute home tonight. So excited to start trying this. May need to bring the big M3 out to the next local autox to really test it out.
V- Have you been looking on iTunes every day since June?

I hope this statement (in red) doesn't mean it only works on '13+ cars witht he new Nav system.
From the iTunes page: Description BMW M Laptimer App Experience the pleasure of driving in tenths of a second and m/s². BMW M Laptimer is a tool for analysing data on racetracks and automatically calculating lap times. The app records precise BMW sensor data directly from every BMW model fitted with BMW Apps*. Your driving style can be interpreted from a wide range of recorded sensor data, including your car’s steering angle, accelerator pedal and G-force. Improve your lap times by analyzing this data to increase your driving skill and precision. Share a summary of your track day on Facebook and Twitter or email a recording of your laps to a friend and compare your track performance turn by turn. * Only available in cars with Navigation system Professional. Performance data BMW M Laptimer records the following data: – GPS position – Speed – Forward acceleration – Lateral acceleration – Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h or 60 mph – Accelerator pedal* – Steering angle* – Deceleration* – Engine speed* – Gear* – Consumption* * Data may be unavailable for vehicles of certain models years and configurations. Please visit our support page for more details. Note for users To use BMW M Laptimer in your BMW, download the app from the App Store, connect your iPhone to a BMW via the USB connector or the snap-in adaptor, and launch the app. You will then be able to use your BMW’s iDrive controller and display to create recordings and use other features in the car. Analysis of a drive is performed on the iPhone after creating a recording in your car.
