Just a quick post to pay my respects. This is really well done and an awesome build. Thanks for sharing your experience with the rest of us.
I'm on a similar path and about 2 years behind you on mine. (http://www.e90post.com/forums/bpgara...=view&id=10643) Inspired to create my own build thread - and to accelerate my planned mods! Subscribed and looking forward to future posts. |

Thanks Man. Knee deep in steering wheel research right now. Been thinking about it for a while and see no downside for doing it before I go full cage. Writing to see if you knew of a reason to discard any of the finalist choices. All are flat and biggest differences are size and functionality. Wheels are the OMP Super Quandro, Momo 270, and Spark P310.
Coming from the OE wheel, I think the Momo (at 270 mm) would be a big transition for size, but otherwise fits the bill. You made the OMP work, what I don't know is whether/how the Momo and Sparco would work with the electronics and wondered if you looked at either manufacturer? https://www.momo.com/wp-content/uplo...6/10/MOD27.png http://www.ompamerica.com/images/SPRQUADROPD:1990:N.jpg Last edited by 4M; 04-10-2017 at 08:11 AM.. |

I think my needs are pretty simple. I do want to retain paddles and don't care about the audio related functions, horn, etc. My destination is NASA TT and then WTW. So really just to maintain the M button (always on is fine), functionality with AIM unit(s) downstream and it would be nice to have the DSC button up top too. Curious if the iDrive functions can come up, but sounds like they can. It looks like you had a few spots left over and I like that idea as my needs and new tech is always coming down the pipeline too.

Oh yes - I've spent some quality time in that thread already. Thanks.
I have the pieces spec'd and now looking for shop(s) in Chicago area that can do the work as this is way outside my own abilities. |

Check out Performance Eurowerks. I'm in PA so I haven't had them work on my car, but I follow their builds. They do work on a lot of track focused cars. I have purchased a bunch of track related products from them. |
