08 M3 cars have been sold under invoice price to several members of this board.

Back to my first post, let me guide you a little :

1890 miles 2008 E92 M3 with DCT and ALL options with 0.9% financing (36 months)
=$52,700

That is net cost after is everything paid for, I assumed the buyer's bank pays 3.2% interest rate on savings.

So if someone here is laughing it's me you just go do your homework.

Then a fair price would be still be several $K below that like I said.

I finf it hard to believe that a used 08 qualifies for your .9% financing.
Is that a fact?

The dealer sells 08 models with .9% financing means you got to go as low or lower for a used car if you want to sell. Who wants to buy a used model for more when you can get a new 08 for less or same. supply and demand.

Most people right now pay invoice or less on a new M3 you need at least -$2K on a used one
=$50,700

Then again it end of year for the 08 model and selling market is reaaaally bad
an additional -1.5K is well justified.

Here you have it

$48,200

60K gotta be kidding
Where exactly are you getting an invoice price of a loaded 2008 E92 with DCT at$52.7k?

The base E92 invoice is $51.9k. The invoice for a loaded DCT E92 is ~$64k. (Those include $2.1k for GGT and shipping. Even if you were to subtract those, which wouldn't make sense, you still aren't anywhere close to $52.7k).

If the invoice for a new 2008 E92 is ~$64k, then his used car is most likely worth ~$55k-$57k in the current market.

I believe he is factoring in the attractive 0.9% finance rate BMW is offering on 08's.

buying a new 08..financing the entire thing at 0.8% you pay $1,405 in interest over the life of a 5 year loan

buyin a used 08...financing the entire thing you pay $8,068.72 in interest over the life of a 5 year loan.

Figuring a brand new similarly equipped car is $61k invoice and considering its used you have to knock off a minimum of 10% (generous) which brings it to $54,900. Then you have to factor in the finance rate of a used private party vehicle at 5+% vs. a brand new 08 for 0.9%...to be generous knock off another $5k for that...and you're in upper 40's.

hope that makes sense...

I'd hold onto it as that's an expensive 1,890 miles...

But if you want to unload it at a reasonable price..PM me

i just went to 2 dealers over the weekend..both willing to sell me an 08 Coupe for invoice and invoice + 900 at the 0.9 rate.

did not substract anything. Took fully equipped 08 M3 DCT price estimate with his car mileage prisitine condition on Edmunds.com not a penny more not a penny less then applied compound 0.9% financing over 5 years for someone who has the total amount available upfront at his bank with 3.2% interest rate gain on saving account.

Yes can do that because would do the exact same thing on a NEW 08 M3.

Why ar we still fighting about this?

I think 60K is reasonable depending on the total packages that the car has and the MSRP, since the car is no longer listed for sell and the seller hasnt commented on any of the BS posts on this thread I guess its time to close down your shops....

I have an M6, a M3 and my wife has a SL55....a few grands dont matter to most of the people who buy these cars, its all about the right color and the options....a fair price is only a way to the means...and honestly I had paid MSRP on tmy M3 a few months ago, which was 75K, If I were to sell how much do you think I would sell it for...? again, its all about options.....nt price....and its about the enjoying the car after you pay the price....

While we on the topic of car value. I just came back from a dealership. They have a 08 E90. The car is a launch car and it has everything except for heated seats. They are willing to sell it at invoice but it has 1800 miles on it. I was trying to get them to sell it below invoice and the sale manage would not want to lower the price. Would any of you consider a launch car? And at what value would you consider this.

below invoice is fiction, however, launch cars should sell for considerably under invoice in my opinion. I wouldnt buy a car without heated seats, howevr, it depends on what your needs are and where you leave.....

Wow,

Just saw this.... I sold this car a while ago. I was able to sell it for 58K in a trade for my 997S.... BTW anyone notice that used E92 M3 are kreeping back up steadily now that the launch cars and early allocation cars were over sold.
