If so set, the alarm will activate after locking the car by any means.

OK gang gotta question for those who have ordered or already have the 2010 model. Is there any changes that are noticeable to the inside or outside or lack of an existing option.

I doubt anyone has their 2010 yet as the first ones are just starting to roll off the lines. I can tell you that when I ordered my car there was very little difference between the '09 and 2010. The only differences I found were standard HD radio, a new automatic bright headlight option and the rear park distance option has gone up $30 to $380.

Most people predict that there will be a LCI update to the coupe next March that could result in some slight styling changes. The update could also affect the front end of the M3 sedans, which got their LCI changes in '09, since it is shared with the coupe.

My order was placed on Friday September 3rd. It is scheduled for production the week of September 21st.

The decision of putting out an extra $1900 for an upgraded sound system is tough. But as mentioned, I went ahead and added it a few days later. I figured I would hate to end up with a vehicle that lists for over 80K and have a sound system that I was disappointed with.

I thought about getting the premium sound but in the end I figured it would be more fun to install my own system. Already getting the parts list together to have it ready once I pick up the car from the PCD.

In the end, I will probaly spend more than the $1700 the premium would have cost, but sometimes I might want to not hear the engine and still smile.

It's $1,900, which should make you feel better. The Premium Sound package sound really good when you crank it loud, but frankly at lower volumes it's just okay. However, BMW didn't give us the intermediate Logic7 option, which really sucks, IMO. that package for $700 or whatever would satisfy 90% of the buyers. Not good form to force a much higher option as the only choice.

I was referring to the retail price of $1730.

I have the Logic7 in my 335 now and feel it is a pretty OEM system but it is no where near as good of system as I am used to listening to. From what I have read here on the forums the premium system is a pretty good system, but for the cost, I can do much better.
Maybe I am pickier than most but after 20+ years as an post production audio engineer I prefer the best system for the money. In this case, I would rather have a system that I can tune to my liking.

I should have picked up on your screen name! Certainly a well-considered custom system is the ultimate way to go for those willing to make the effort and expenditure.

Hey everyone,

I've been following this forum for a while, but I thought I would go ahead and get registered.

I ordered my 2010 M3 (E90) last month, and I'm eagerly anticipating it within (hopefully) the next month. Best of luck to the rest of you, I hope we get our new cars soon!

What are you guys switching from? I currently drive a Toyota (2.0L 4-cylinder) so it's going to be quite a change!
