It does not. I personally do not believe the premium sound is worth the money. I think it sounds crappier than the standard version, which you have more control over especially in the low end because it's not constantly trying to correct itself. You could get a better sound system for less than what BMW charges for theirs.
I use my ears listening to music every day of the week so I view myself as an audiophile and this is my standing on it.

I hate to see people discouraged because of a car's location. Ya know, shipping a car isn't all that expensive (relative term)... But also, checking the car out requires either a 3rd party or travel.
