Thinking to get exhaust with valve like IPE, etc

Hey guys, I am new to M3. Does any aftermarket system adds hp or tq? It seems like it's all for sound. How about IPE or akrapovic? Will I loose torque if I open the valves? Can't find any dyno for it.

i got the MRF full system mrfpower.com i gained roughly 28-30hp gains and the car sounds insane. It produces the most HP gains that i have seen so far. there are other systems with gains as well. Browse the exhaust section on the forum and you will find some great info. GL with your search!

Any exhaust that removes the primary cats will make power. They all make pretty much the same. Completely catless make about 10hp more than HFCs in the secondary location.

No exhaust that retains all the cats will make significant power.

I have the full IPE and love it.

I haven't put the car on a dyno yet just need to get a pulley and tune before I do....
