Most ranges offer basic shooter's course which I recommend and is needed in most states if you want to get your concealed carry permit.

I would like to take the opportunity to publically thank radix(Andrew) a member on this site. He mentioned earlier in this thread that he had some extra new Sig grip screws he wasnt going to use and offered them to someone here(free of charge).
I had previously had my Sig 228 shark fishing last season and aquired some light surface rust in the grooves of my grip screws. Wanting to replace them I jumped on Andrews offer. Well, I recieved the screws today and they are just as described by him. Brand new(even has a dap of new locktite of each thread) and in the Sig factory bag. I have to move some stuff from in front of my safe to get to the gun but will swap them out hopefully tonite. Andrew, thank you. ![]() |

Sorry a bit late to reply. I have the FNP-9 that the X is based off. I love this 9mm. Never had a single problem with it in over 3,500 rounds!

Yeah - post pics!
I've shot one of those before at a range - too powerful for me - I didn't really see the point. Its too expensive to target shoot, and its useless for hunting I figure. Maybe as a backup for a charging bear? But still - it was quite an experience and I'd like to see pics. |

The official handgun of the not-so-well endowed. Or hunters. Fucking suck to shoot and generally serve no purpose other than bragging rights or the aforementioned hunter. Or Zombies, now that I think of it. Cool gun though. What barrrel length did you get, and does it have a comp port?

Trey, I can assure you I am neither a girl or a newb
I worked part time a gun store for years and every person I sold one of those bad boys to was either a hunter or clearly compensating for something. I actually sold one by telling a guy his son's 45 was more of a man's gun than his little 9mm. Bought the bastard on the spot! No doubt you get mobbed, since everyone wants to see what all the noise is about, but mostly people just get annoyed because it fucks their concentration when a hand howitzer goes off two stalls down. It's like the dickhead at my rifle club with the .338 Lapua and the muzzle brake who has to chose the spot right next to me every time he comes out. Anyway, I'm not bashing on you specifically, just sharing my observations as a gun professional and an avid shooter myself. And, just like the Lapua, the 500 is expensive to shoot, teaches bad shooting habits from the enormous recoil and is generally a bitch to carry around. All of my BS aside, I'd love to see pics. They are truly awful to shoot and they are an engineering marvel to behold! |

Hey Collin, for you, I'll wear one of those 500s on each hip!
That's a BFG Trey! Hollow point ammo for that hog is at least 2-3 bucks a round! |

I dont think you will need a gun, the fact you didnt even counter his newb/girl comment with your profession tells me you are comfortable with how badass you are and dont have to tell people. I hope you dont have daughter(s)

The Judge is a really cool/versatile firearm. Great for outdoorsy kinds of stuff. Plus, just putting shotgun shells in a pistol is bragging rights.

yea that's obviously why i want one. .410 shells in a handgun is awesome to me. i do a lot of hunting when it's not boiling hot outside, and the judge would obviously be great for reducing the varmint population. it would be an easy pull, point, and shoot to kill. i know a beaver or two that i would like to introduce to the judge. but then again, a s&w long barrel .500 would be great for popping hogs on the go. carrying my 7 mag on the 4-wheeler through brush isn't exactly easy or fun. i dunno...i just feel like i need a new gun, but don't want to buy something i won't want to shoot for this or that reason. i've also heard that the judge has some long-term reliability issues.
