Annoying 3D phase...
Is anyone else annoyed by this 3D phase going on? I am just fine with a normal movie, but then they force us to go to this 3D shit and my eyes get tired after 45 minutes and the prices are more expensive because of these ridiculous 3D glasses...

Thoughts?

Every single movie that is viewable in 3d is also available in 2d.

No one is forcing you to do anything. If you don't like 3d don't go to that showing.

+1. your participation in the 'fad' is purely your decision. personally, i love my 3D shit, but i'm also viewing on a large projector screen.

Not every showing or movie theater that I have been to has both 2D and 3D options, especially some of the newer movies coming out.

They do... Just not at the same viewing times. I promise you every theatre showing the 3d version has a separate 2d viewing time. This was addressed 2 years ago when they realized not everyone can handle/see the effect.

I think I have seen 4 movies in 3D. Avatar was great in 3D even with the tired storyline.

Tron was cool too. But I think I am over 3D already. But I agree with people above, there is always a 2D option.

Actually you're wrong. Some movie theatre actually don't have both 2D and 3D. Some Edward/Regal theatre only shows 3D. I know this. I asked. Even shows movie times avail in only 3D. For example, Kung Fu Panda, and Green Latern. I always try to find a 2D, I hate 3D.. but this theatre a few blocks away from where I live refuse to show new movies in 2D.
