20x9.5 20x11 thoughts?? Offsets?

Im about to pick up a 2010 M3 and wanted an aggressive wheel on the car. Has any one done 20x9.5 & 20x11 on there car and if so can you post pics. I also wanted a clean fit without having to stretch the tires out so much, offsets would be great.

Thanks

What are you hoping to achieve? I have had a 20 x 9 / 20 x 11 wheel set with good results. When you run 20" wheels the tire sizes that will fit on the front are very limited. You really only have two options: 245/30 or 255/30. 265/30's will have too large of a diameter so they will rub. If you don't want the tires to look stretched I would stick with a 20 x 9 in the front with 255/30 tires. I ran 305/25's on my rear 20 x 11 wheels without regrets. I actually think a 20 x 9 / 20 x 10 or 10.5 combo is a little better. That way you can run 255/30 and 285/30 tires which will result in less stager. Based on my research, a 285/30 on an 11" wheel is outside tire manufacturers recommended rim width for that size tire.

Check out this thread for wheels being sold in the size that you are looking for. You will also find links to pictures of the wheels on his car and others (see post #4 for a link to pics on my car / wheel offsets). I thought the offsets were perfect.

Yup it's 12 in the back, I wanted to go as wide as possible. DPE doesn't release there offsets but I had a 5 1/2 inch lip in the back

Dude there is no way those wheels are a 10 and a 12 inches wide. Did you measure from one edge of the wheel to the other? If so, you have a 9" front and a 11" rear and based on the tire sizes and the way the car looks in those pictures it cannot be 10" and 12".

I think he is saying that if you measured the wheel from one side to the other, it will actually be about an inch wider. A 10" wide wheel will measure about 10.5-11" wide. Also, he may be referring to the look of your tire- a 285 will look really, really stretched on a 12" wide wheel. Your set-up does not look so stretched...

I am going to buy also 9,5 & 11" set of wheels, but it is very difficult to estimate what could be good offset for those. (http://www.tvw-cardesign.de/index.ph...id=477#galerie) There is in the link, very good looking wheels imo, but they don`t tell what is the offset of the wheels... If some of you have knowledge, please let me know...
