I've seen E46 M3s with SC on them that have over 100k miles... (SC installed for 80k running 7psi). Granted this is a different engine, but that S54 is a tank! I would like to think BMW built a similarly bullet proof engine in the S65 but only time will tell...

WOW
This is really a great commercial for the 458. All the other cars are modified - a LOT. The 458 is stock, naturally aspirated, and is right there in performance. -scheherazade |

I think of the group, the Z06 is most impressive (best bang for the buck) and has the greatest aftermarket potential.......the only thing that hurts it is the 6MT, you can see it loses ground with every shift compared to the faster DCT-trannys of the other 3 cars.
Best looking/sounding though has to be the 458, that car is gorgeous |

I guess it depends * 458 laps quicker turbo-s drags quicker (Generally - there's always different results on different tracks) Either way, you'd expect that level of performance if you paid for it :P Price wise, yeah. 240k for the italia. gtr will run you 90k + P800. If the P800 is like the Alpha 9, then it's at least 24K + extras + installation Still way short of the italia. -scheherazade |

The z06 was what I call 'barely modified', and it pulled hard. Definitely the value winner by a long shot. However, it's worth noting that from a roll, any C6 will be a beast. Great power to weight ration, and simply lots of power to begin with. Now if the car just had more traction... -scheherazade |

Stock, it's really subdued. It's hardly louder than a day to day regular car - and quieter than many. While that is less exciting, it lets me get away with flooring it all the time without drawing attention. That in itself is a gift. I think I'd be a ticket magnet with an aftermarket exhaust. You see the topspeed motorsports onelap car? They swept the field this year with an alpha 9 kit. It does look interesting, especially since it 'seems' rather reliable. -scheherazade |

Actually the 458 owner has a Turbo S as well and in the same type of side by side comparo's the 458 is slightly faster, he's getting an ECU flash on the Turbo S so that will certainly change things, good point on your last comments!

Awesome car, Drew. Video is also nicely edited.
EDIT-You guys were out there playing that long and the Federales never came out?? It's almost like a private track rental. BTW-has JRCart hit you up for a run against his Weistec SC'd BS? I think many of us on both forums would like to see that run happen.
