Wheel change helper tool

Does E9x M3s come with the little bolt that screws in to help you line up the wheel bolts when you change your wheels? If not does any aftermarket suppliers offer these?

I will be changing the wheels a lot for autox but don't want to go with stud conversion. That tool will come in handy.

TIA!

I don't have experience with them, but several vendors sell them. Be careful. There are two diameters for the tools and some wheels won't clear the larger ones.

Older BMWs have a fantastic tool at this:

Basically you stick it in the stud hole, mount your wheel and put a couple of studs on to keep it aligned and then do your torque pattern and remove the tool through the wheel.

I did too... plus the jack adapter. I used an improvised adapter but don't like it or trust it.

I have both wheel guide in SS and the jack adapter from reverselogic. I haven't been able to use them yet but they appear to be nice and very well made. Order the cheaper blems, they really aren't blemished at all. Mine arrived perfect.

That unit diameter is larger than the BMW bolt diameter so some wheels don't fit... like the RAC wheel.

That thing is great. Had that on my E36 and E38, such a handy little piece in the trunk-mounted toolkit.
