How about a glock? Springfield vs Glock is like a never ending debate like BMW vs Audi

Thank you for your response ybbiz34. I definitely plan on renting a few to test out, just wanted to see if there was any reason to not try one.

As far as the Glock goes, I have by no means ruled it out. The only thing deterring me is the lack of an additional safety other then the trigger.

You really can't go wrong with either. You should try out both including the Glock 19,26 and the XD.

I'm absolutely enamored with Springfield. Their balance and ergos are so nice.

Glocks feel unbalanced when shot. Even on long-barreled models, there was a lot of rise. I guess you can try the ones with the vented barrels that are supposed to act as muzzle brakes.

I have a G19 and had a G17 and G26. I also have an XD9 5 inch and frequently shoot an XDM9 for matches when I want to shoot production class. The XDs just feel much better in my hand which is why I got rid of the 17 and 26. I also prefer the trigger pull of the XDs because the Glocks feel like plastic toys and have a weird "clanging" sound and feel to them. I'm with the rest of the posters in that, try them out first. See how they feel in your hand and find out if you like the way they shoot.

I don't but can suggest this, if you are looking at a 22lr for it's cheapness of ammo make sure your .22 purchase will support any ammo you throw at it. I have a Walther in .22lr and it will ONLY shoot CCI Mini Mags, all other ammo's failure to fire or misfeed. I also encountered this when shopping for a .22 pistol. Ended up going with the Ruger Mark III, you cannot go wrong with that gun.

I agree with the Ruger Mark III or II. But after talking to my friends who started off with the Ruger II & III, he said that the CZ Kadet is light years away. I have also read multiple reviews online that the Kadet is a good choice. People sell their Ruger for the CZ.

Just peruse the reviews before buying is all I'm saying. If you look up Mosquito, Walther P22 and many others they all list the same problem. Seems to be all pistols with a full sized slide. I def like CZ, just sharing my experience.

2007 Z4M Coupé  [3.83]
Anyone have experience with FNH?
I'm considering the FNX-9. Love everything about the gun... but didn't shoot it as well as the M&P 9. I want to try it again before I take it off my short list.

Slightly modified. How many rounds down range through the LW barrel?

I have a Sig P229 (slightly smaller frame than the full-sized P226) and the recoil is a complete non-issue for me.

Might as well list mine too...

Glock 19 9mm

Kahr Arms 9mm

2x Taurus TCP .380

Remington 22LR

And for home defense a Mossburg 12 because burglars love the sound of it being cocked!

Sig and Kimber are the best hand guns, IMO. I love carry the Kimber Ultra carry and the Sig229.
