Very classy modifications and I definitely think they all go well with the color of your M.

In love with Heidi

Have my 2012 Space Grey, Comp Pckg on order and I'm really eyeing your mods so far. I think your car is sexy as hell, btw.

The only thing I'm currently on the fence about are the black front grills. Some pics show them as a very subtle and tasteful addition to the car (your pics), other pics almost make it look like there are two big holes in the front of the car, like two big gaping holes. I think this might be the different between matte and gloss black. I also don't like the body-painted front grills.

I'm sort of up in the air. Not a big fan of the chromed-out stock look but looking at other options. Maybe a black wire mesh??

Anyway, great job on yours. You're giving me lots to think about when my new ride finally does arrive (soon hopefully).

Thanks, Runner. I used to have matte front grills, but I thought they were too aggressive. The gloss black grills are a bit more elegant and refined than the matte.

You have two options if you find the black grills look too much like gaping holes. You can keep the chrome vertical slats but replace only the outer edge. A few members have done that, and while the look isn't for me, it definitely addresses your concern. Your second option is to go for the black chrome grills that BMW offers instead of the gloss black grills that third-party vendors do. The black chrome grills have a purplish sheen to them and are a bit lighter in shade than the gloss black grills, thus giving them some of the definition that you're looking for. I may end up swapping my gloss black grills and side gills for the chrome black versions soon.

Garage List
aajami, Heidi looks fabulous!

Just got back from a meet with over 40 BMWs, most of them E9X M3s, heard the M Performance exhaust in person, and starting googling as soon as I got home, lol!

I LOVE how you had the mufflers coated in black! Perfect look. If you don't mind, I will PM you to ask how much I should expect to pay to have EAS ceramic coat it.

I can't believe I'm already considering a mod (I can't believe I'm planning to mod, period!) even before my car arrives. :P

Thank-you for the detailed pics, videos, write-ups. Extremely tasteful mods.

Your contributions to this forum do not go unnoticed.

Car looks great! However, like you stated in your opening post, you are never truly done with modding

amer,

your car is the epitome of "clean." and I believe there is an end-point to aesthetic modifications. once you get to a place where you're satisfied with the car, leave it be. modding just for the sake of modding is when cars start getting gaudy and non-cohesive.

on the other hand though, there is no end to performance mods as far as I'm concerned. beautiful ride bro. congrats and hope to see you around !
