Driver mirror moves by itself?

Hey guys,
got a question. My driver side mirror seems to move by itself every now and then. I mean it literally moves by itself. I do not do anything to it nor is my hand moving it. I am using the same key and I am the only driver. I have seen it move by itself one time when I was on a slow roll. It is really getting annoying. What could be causing this?

Hmmm...could be that water got into the switch assembly and is causing it...how long has it done it? Give it a few days..if it continues..dealer.

I had the same issue. Started with the mirrors moving and then progressed over a few weeks to the driver seat moving while I was driving along with the mirrors adjusting. Mine was a faulty driver seat memory switch module. The mirrors/seat are all tied together.

I had to drive it for several days after a big snow storm before the part arrived and it got to be quite ridiculous...accelerate and the seat moved toward the wheel, passenger mirror tilted down, drivers mirror inward. Decelerate and the seat laid all the way back...I could hold the switch to try to interrupt....so I'm doing a soft start in the snow, holding the seat switch, trying to shift and steering...cussing it the whole way home...good news is it should be an easy fix.

Krozi... Maybe, I will let it sit for a couple days. It randomly does it.

kcdude... I don't have CA and my seats are not memorized(if that makes sense). My seats don't move yet hopefully they never do and this shit goes away.

Not the same but my passenger mirror gets stuck in the down position for reversing. Very annoying.

It happens to me as well, I find the driver mirror position changed from time to time, although I have never seen it while changing position by itself.

I am about to increase your standard of living so get ready for it:

Flip the switch on the mirror adjustment selector to the other side.

Try reverse again, oh and read the manual

I disagree, I think the downward facing mirror is amazing when parking... so much better especially against a curb, or even in my parking garage where I always reverse in and want to remain between the lines. I hate parking a car without it to be honest

I had the same problem with the driver's side mirror moving randomly. Never had the seat issue though. The dealer said it was a known issue; there's a service bulletin about it. Just take it in, they'll replace the motor assembly in the mirror.

No shit, the problem is that it doesn't always return to the upright position when shifting out of reverse.
