Lightweight BMW M Engineering Concept Coming to 2011 Tokyo Show (not a 1M)

I wish car manufacturers would understand, that people WILL pay $50k for a small car.


The 1M is the direction M enthusiast want. Yet, BMW can't even meet the orders now, & will (for whatever reason) purposely continue to limit it's production... they can easily sell 10k of them before December, will they?

I know 3 people at work that want a 1M. But, they are already looking at other cars, because they know, they will not be able to purchase an M coupe this summer. As they are already sold out! I am optimistic that BMW will see their follies & I will be able to place a late 2011 order (Oct-Nov).

But right now, that sounds daunting, given that BMW is already talking about the next great car & technology... but won't support the demand, for the one great car they have now. Which is smaller, lighter & more effecient.
