great pics... sorry for the mishap with the car... BMW will straighten everything you have nothing to worry about... besides the car is where it was built so it is good.

They recalled some 08 and 09 M3s for a stalling problem, wonder if they never really got it working again...

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you had a great time in spite of the hiccup.

I have IB and I don't ever really think of it as purple at all. Definitely the most brilliant color in person.

Just heard from service advisor in Rosenheim - they are replacing the engine. Apparently some problem in/with the 6th cylinder. That is all they told me. they are saying it should be picked up and to the port by early next week. fingers crossed....

Ummm....I concur. What is your dealership (or BMW N.A.) saying about this? Not their fault but....I would probably NOT want a brand new car that's on its 2nd engine. I'm positive the techs in Germany will do it right but.....I hope you're going to look into this a bit further.

On a brighter note.....great pics, great color, great experience (less the problem stuff).

My dealer - as well as BMWNA and the folks up in New England at BMW ED - have been on top of this since I got back. in communication with the dealer working the issue in Germany. They know that if the car gets back to the states and continues to have issues, they are going to have a huge issue on their hands and have assured me it will be taken care of. so we will see. This is my 4th BMW from the same CA at the same dealer - so I am confident i will be taken care of.

Thanks.
