Looking at Sean91's pic, it looks like the Alpine HIDs suffer from uneven light distribution in the outer rings just like the Aibs and Lux. Can other Alpine owners confirm?

These HID's are so bright that uneven distribution, if it's there, is impossible to notice.

If you take the pictures too close to the car, or at a funny angle, the light distribution will look off. If taken from the right spot the lights will look perfect.

+1 Im sure his light distribution is actually fine, its probably just the angle and the sun light that makes it look like that.

Does anybody else here have a 2011 kit with no external ground and is having problems with the driver-side lights not coming on sometimes?

That issue was solved back in January. Are you still getting the same problem?

8000k. Had a problem with the ballast/bulbs at first, got a replacement, but later on the harness broke, with the ground ring coming loose, but after quite a few emails with alex, I finally got a replacement. And the result is astonishing. No offense, but the older versions aren't very reliable. The updated ballast and harness is much better quality

I am still having this problem. My kit has only been in a week and it went from having the problem 10% of the time to now having it 50% of the time. Alex and I have sent several emails back and forth about it but I havent heard anything in a couple days.

I really love this kit but driving around with only one side on kind of has the opposite effect.

Please PM me so we can get this straightened out.

If that happens, go to iDrive, disable DRLs, then re-enable DRLs

it should work just fine

I kept trying to do this last night but it didnt work for me... Its all good though. Alex already sent me a new ballast
