That's what we've been doing for most M3s. On darker colored cars - this brings out the Angel Eyes much more.

Ouch! But a very valid point. I just don't get how that can damage the headlight unit, but it obviously does. Not going to mess with that bulb; not worth it. Doesn't look that bad stock IMO. Good day.

but that orange bulb still reflects in the housing giving the corner that ugly yolk look, coded off or not, you still see that orange bulb

(but i did get the corner bulbs and led's coded to be off with xenons and parking lamps engaged)

Exactly. Plus who would want to code away their turn signals? Pretty important to let others know your intentions and pretty stupid if you eliminate them.

Coding simply removes the running lamp (50% illumination). Turn signals still work normally when needed.

what tom said, bulbs are only off when the headlamps or parking lights are on, if the turn signal is activated, the bulbs still come on...

Over 100 sets installed since they were introduced, 3 of which I have done myself. Only one set broken so far (yours).

Still, I will send the feedback to the factory on your behalf. Perhaps they can improve upon it. Thank you all for your constructive inputs.

They broke as per your install instructions. I never said they won't fit, but to make them fit, you risk bending the two internal prongs that need to make contact to the female ends of your bulbs.

I bought a second pair from Bimmian to see if the problem was consistent, and that set had the same problem. I trimmed the edges of the Bimmian unit, and they locked with the prongs a good deal better.

I don't doubt that all of your bulbs will work given enough finagling, but it's that finagling that will likely damage customers headlights without them knowing they're damaging anything.
