Err... Fail. The Falcon has a leaf spring non independent rear end on old school chasis rails. The commodore has a multi link independent one as part of it's Monocoque body.

So, one handles and the other doesn't. There is no comparison.

but the Falcon looks better and can haul more, that's the USP of a UTE, the Holden is a crap UTE, pretenting to be a sports car which it's also crap at, the Falcon isn't prenting to be something it's not.

This could possibly be a way of BMW getting around the increasing US fuel economy standards by taking an awesome car and reclassifying it. Hopefully removing the "gas guzzler" tax. Better be AWD

Bmw should consider M3 wagon over the pick up style....

I'm going to be very angry if BMW wastes $$ on this as opposed to building us wagon-lovers an e91 M3...

Also surprised nobody has brought up the possibility of a Hybrid M3 - they have the back portion off to allow quick access to an experimental electric motor assisting the rear wheels and providing needed weight in the back... LOL.

With half the cabin removed, at least it'll be faster on the track.

Do you guys really think this is a serious pre-production model? First thing I thought was April Fool's joke. The car just looks like a random E93 M3 they taped some panel onto to give the impression of it being a ute.

Glad to see this was a one off deal.

Now BMW just needs to anounce that the BMW Van project is just an April fools joke too. But sadly I fear not.
