they are about 6-7 lbs on each corner, it certainly provides better turn-in response and straight line acceleration. you will notice it without taking it to the track. that's about it.
I don't think lighter wheels would help much on braking, it would not be noticeable enough. That's more of tires, suspension and brakes job.
