Instead of waving around a piece of paper for the valet to sign, why not just carry your attorney in your trunk? Then he can jump out and sue everyone. Now, there's a solution.

When someone finally invents the molecular bonded shell is when I'll park my car in the valet.. and go through some walls while I'm at it.

Kidding aside, here's my take on the valet debate: Valet's can be safer, if used properly. I've had two Porsches, and one Lexus vandalized over the years that I had parked myself. They were properly parked and not inconveniencing anyone. In those 3 cases my car was a target simply because it was a nice car. Since I switched to using valet's extensively I've had zero problems. Please understand, I don't toss them the keys and walk away. I give them at least ten bucks, and sometimes as much as twenty (when I hand them the key) to leave my car in the front, at (or near) the valet stand.

sorry to hear, man. at least you didn't confirm a deer's death on the highway last night.

i was looking at a dead raccoon on the right shoulder not realizing that i was approaching a freshly hit deer. it was smack-dab in the middle of the lane and i had no other choice but to drive over it. if i had swerved, i would have hit the deer with one of the wheels. it felt as if i turned the deer over with the undercarriage of the car. Good thing no major damage was done. a lot of blood splatter and scratches on the bumper. im just glad it wasnt a live deer standing up that i hit...

sorry for that short story thread jack
