M3 M-DCT Transmission Fluid

I have a bit of a problem... My car is very low on transmission fluid.. Its a 2010 M3 with an M-DCT Transmission.. Unfortunately our local BMW dealership in egypt doesnt have that oil and say it will take 2 months to order it !!

I need to know if anyone used anything other than the original BMW Transmission fluid on his DCT Transmission...

The original oil is DCTF-1 FFL-4 Part Number (83-22-0-440-214)

I know Pentosin and HKS make FFL-4 however we dont have that either !! I have read somewhere that Dexron VI could be used instead...

Does anyone know or has anyone tried any other oil..

i don't know answer for your question, but y is ur fluid low when it's 2010 model?

You could try South Side Performance, they have their own version of DCT oil and have rebuilt the DCT transmission. I suspect you'd have to swap all you oil out.

The debate of whether or not DCT fluid is lifetime fill or not is always evident. However I've never seen ANYONE suggest it was a consumable!

Indeed...How would you even know the fluid level was low....the DCT is not really a dealer serviceable item and if the transmission is leaking fluid it seems like standard BMW procedure is just to replace it.
