johnnie walker

hey everyone. i like me some johnnie walker!!! but all iver ever had is the red and black. what do people think of the gold, green and blue? blue is so freakin expensive. its like $40 a glass at the bar i go to. anyway i thought i would kind of review the red and black in hopes others would too as well as the other labels.

red: nice a mellow. tastes like it has less alcohol than it does. smoother than single malts ive tasted. very subtly smokey.

black: even smoother. almost cant taste the alcohol. sweet and fruity on the nose. peat smoke, tobacco and caramel on the palate.

i have a red(1.75L), black(750mL), and gold bottle(1L) in my alcohol cabin.

but the gold bottle is not opened yet.......bought it in the bahamas 3 years ago.

maybe i'll open it and let you know how it is............

about 10 years ago....a friend of mine bought a blue label on the rocks($30)....

that shit was so smooth and crisp as hell! i could still taste and smell it......

I have a bottle of Blue Label. It has a serial number associated with it and a wire and lead seal. It cost me $125 a litre at the Class Six. My biggest problem now is getting it back home. I can only bring in one litre each time and I have three litres of spirits I want to bring back in my next two trips. One's gotta go: Blue Label, Pisco, or Glenlivet?

I've tried the green and gold labels as well

both seemed a bit better than black, but still maintained similar taste/flavor characteristics

I'm more of a bourbon guy though
