Best Bday Present Ever!

So my wife spent a great deal of time trying to think of something that I would truly love for my bday this year. After lots of thought she came up with an exotics driving experience. 5 laps each on the track at Las Vegas Speedway. In the order that I drove them:

GT-R...incredible bang for the buck...crazy fast and the easiest to push hard. What a fantastic car!

Murcielago...huge car...ridiculously powerful, but heavy...have to respect it or you'll throw it into a full spin like another driver did out of turn 1.

Italia...super quick and powerful...incredible exhaust note...however, steering seems a little light (which the instructors agreed with).

Final car was the F430 Scuderia. OMG! What an incredible machine. Basically a street legal race car. Stupidly loud, incredible power and handled like you'd expect it to. Super responsive and confidence inspiring.

There were a few other cars I didn't drive:
R8/Gallardo/V8 Vantage and a Carrera S that I didn't get a pic of.

The Z06 was just for a ride along drift show. Notice the tread marks as he burns out of the garage...lol. They go through 1-3 sets of tires...per day!

There was also something else cruising around all day that made all these cars look slow.

I attended something like this, however the driving was on back roads instead of a track. Totally worth the money either way and I suggest any car fan try and do it at least once if they can. Glad you had a great time.

Very cool present.

A couple years ago my wife got me the Richard Petty Exp at Vegas. 4 laps driving a NASCAR on the banks of LV Speedway.

Having Nellis AFB right there was just gravy. Nellis is the home of the USAF Red Flag School and while we were there they had a huge amout of Flight Ops coming and going. The sound of afterburners mixed with Stock car V8's at full tilt in the mountain valley was pretty cool.

Maybe I'll drop a hint to her about your thing.
