Same thing happened to me. Only downside to bumper plugs (besides the look themselves) is the you generally have to drill larger holes than what the dealer already drilled.

Still deciding what to do after 6 months...

I call holes drilled in the bumper a good excuse to order a factory painted euro-bumper

The only issue is the euro-bumpers are about $2.5K. Seriously though you could have a bodyshop fill the holes in the bumper and fill your reflectors at the same time!!!

not feeling the bumper plugs, i'd rather just mount the front plate if i had to choose between the two.

bimmerm: LE in my area don't actively look for it but if they notice it's not there, they will write you up.

I live in Central NJ and I regularly drive pretty much everywhere and I have never been stopped for no-front-plate. I had my S2000 prior to the M for ~3 years and also was never stopped. ::knocks on wood::

Even if I drive through a "checkpoint", which is usually for expired inspection stickers, they never say anything. I suppose it really depends on the cops in your area. I'm moving to CA soon and I'm really worried about my front plate situation. My cousins said they put theirs on after getting a bunch of tickets. They'll even ticket you while you're parked in a lot somewhere (Irvine area).

dude why dont you just take the car to the body shop and have them fill the hole and spray the bumper.then you can get the tow bracket.it will cost you a few bucks but its worth it. looks a hell lot better then the plugs.those things are uuuuuggggllllyyy.
