Question advantage of the E90/92 M3 over the e46 m3

Other than the better look and extra HP (which is offset by the extra weight) what are the main advantages for the New M3 to the e46 m3? i am more concern for the speed, handling, gas mileage, driving experience and track driving ability. Thank you for your help.

Not true, actually. Power-to-weight is better with the E92.

from what ive heard the e9x is more track ready out of the box, not sure if thats true, also seems to be a more of a luxury car than the e46, for better or worse...

i have both

pros: more luxurious, much more modern (electronics, sound insulation, ride w/ edc, etc), better handling balance (less understeer), much more grip, more power, steering is much quicker ratio than e46

cons: smoother so it doesn't feel as torquey down low as the i-6 does (imo), pretty big compared to the e46 (feels more like a big sedan than a sports car)

Handling, Gas mileage, Driving experience and Track driving ability.
  • Handling -less under steering, higher lateral grip , more stable at high speed
  • Gas mileage - less fuel efficiency
  • Driving experience -refined ride , updated interior (ex. navi, smartphone
integration....) , better auto clutch transmission , less engine maintenance
  • Track driving ability - better chassis creates better lap times
