ShowCarDetailing off La Palma in Anaheim, CA

After stalking the Wash, Wax, etc. topic for a week, I decided to visit Richard from ShowCarDetailing in Anaheim, CA after work on Friday.

I was compelled by M3Post-er Ed Lin's recommendation and decided to purchase detailing gear here.

Since my E90 is only one month old after being delivered in the U.S., I figured I wouldn't need a full detail job just yet. So, I picked up Richard's Wax + Polisher, Banana wax, and clay bar and lube, among others. Richard gave me a live demo of how he clays in the shop and explained to me his detailing repertoire. He's a great guy, passionate about detailing, and has all the technical know-how in his craft.

I will definitely go back for my bi-annual full detail job and to restock my detailing gear. It was well worth my drive from Century City. Thanks Ed for the recommendation!!!

Don't be too sure about not needing a detail. In my opinion, the dealer should take care of it, but I have no confidence in any dealer actually doing this right. A new car definitely needs claying. Very likely, it needs paint correction too. I'm glad you found someone who can take care of all this for you. Good luck.

I would have your detailer correct the paint as well. Almost all new cars need some paint correction, so it's better to have it done now, and keep it well-waxed for the rest of its life.
