I actually just got pulled over yesterday for speeding. Cop was nice and only gave me a ticket for tinted windows and I found out if I just remove the tints, judge will drop the charges. Little to do they know I turn the car in this week and pick up my new M3... so I will be more than happy to remove those tints.

Im just curious how easy this is. Is it as simple as just peeling away or will it leave a mess? should I have it done by the tint place that put it on or is that a waste?

Something full of ammonia (window cleaners which contain ammonia) and some black trash bags and some goo gone. Maybe some painters tape. Cheap as it's going to get.

On a sunny day, spray tinted side of windows liberally with ammonia substance. Stick black trash bag to window, should stick by itself due to cleaner. If not, painters tape it up. Let bake outside for a few hours. Peel off tint. Use goo gone for residue.

u might need a heat gun, also the police just need to see the driver so you might not need to do all windows unless u really want to.

Did you call tint shops? Call a couple and see how much it costs. There's like 1000 in the area.

It's a LOT less difficult than people make it out to be...just go REALLLLY slow and no residue will remain. I removed the tint on my car before I got it re-tinted...back window took a while but not that hard.

Used a knife to get an edge off, then pulled. No water, no cleaner, no nothing...
