Removing the trunk dagdes

I want to remove the BMW and M3 badges on the trunk lid of a 2011 convertible. Does anyone know if there are holes in the trunk lid to align the badges or are they mounted using only an adhesive?

BMW badge is dented as a circle in the car - bad idea. M3 badge is just adhesive, easy removal.

M3 Badge removal. Dental floss, just slip it behind the badge and slowly slide and pull.

Holes with grommets...Bastiges!

Somewhere along the way I developed a fetish for removing badges, emblems and labels form things, especially cars.

Funny story. My mother had me remove the "Acura" and "TL" badges from the trunk lid of her car. Some time later her car was hit, causing minor damaging to only the rear bumper. The body shop replaced the bumper...and... the "Acura" and "TL" badges. I can only guess they thought the badges FELL off when the car was struck.

BMW roundels = Not a good idea if you just want to take it out and leave it empty. However, if you have the alternative color roundel such as the silver and black roundel why not?

M3 badge = Just use a hair dryer on med to high heat to soften the adhesive. Repeat until badge starts to move. Dental floss also works and is the way to go if you ask me.
