Good idea for a thread and nice rampage there. I'll hopefully have a video up on tuesday evening. I've been working my ass off all weekend, and I only have enough time to get a couple games in before calling it a night. But I've been recording a few nice kills, so I'll string them together on tuesday when I'm off.

cool vid. No matter what I do I can never win those quick draw contests when some runs up on me. I see in the kill cam that I always have some lag. I am shooting first in my view but in the killcam they are. Never fails. Also the entire weekend was spent in lobbies with constant host migration.

That happens to me too, I have a good internet connection. Maybe the game is like that?

I notice that as well. I'll put a dude in my sights and start shooting before he's aimed at me yet I still die, kinda frustrating. I chalk it up to my shitty gun. I'm only a level 10 so far so I haven't really unlocked a assault rifle worth buying.

I have not had any issues though getting into matches.

What match style do you guys play?

i've noticed that the projected action doesn't really reflect what happens on the other persons screen. for example, you could be clearly shooting someone first on your pov, but in the killcam it's clear they got the first shot off. don't worry about it too much, you aren't the only one

So far my only complaint is when trying to play with friends. When I get more than 2 people in the party it just disconnects everyone but the host before the game starts...very frustrating and have spent a lot of time "trying" to play with others....

Anyone else have this problem??

I have Charter cable with a Docsis 3.0 modem, and a Cat 6 cable. 25mb/3mb, and I asked a tech pro and he said that it has to do with a two main things. First is my upload speed, and then the host in the lobby. If I have a slow connection to any of those then this is why it happens. You have no control. the only way you can almost seal a great connection is to have Fiber optic connection from Verizon Fios with 50mb/25mb upload speeds.

I cant get Fios in my area and it is like finding the white elephante it seems. It is only in certain areas.

I mostly play Domination and headquarters since you get more points.

I played this once, for a 5 hour span... I like the new features. The sounds kinda suck IMO.

I think I still like MW2 better.

That happens in all shooters, network code and technology hasn't risen to the point where the "real" model of the game on the main server can be replicated with 100% accuracy on all the other nodes (copies, players). Practically everyone is playing with a slightly different "model" of the game when they are online. Years ago, when I worked with LucasArts/Totally Games on X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, our team created some "cheap" tricks to sort of compensate, and to be honest, I don't think technology has really gone much further since then (1997).

BTW, that was a nice kill streak. I liked MW 2 a lot for the online play, do you think Black Ops is at least comparable in terms of balance and fun?

thanks man. i think black ops is leaps and bounds better than modern warfare 2. perk balance is amazing, guns actually have recoil, you have to actually earn your killstreaks, air support isn't ridiculous, the maps aren't half bad and there aren't any exploits i've run into so far. not to mention i've only been n00btube'd once

problems with MW2

1. one man army everything
2. insanely OP'd air support
3. boosters
4. shotguns as secondaries
5. commando
6. machine pistols
7. the acr
8. pre-patched models
9. pre-patched javelin glitch

problems with black ops

1. lobby disconnection
2. non-ninja footsteps are almost silent
3. rcxd should be a 5 killstreak

Thanks dude, I've lost count how many doubles I've had, but I've only had 2 triples in my COD career. Both in MW2, but hoping for more in Black Ops. I do have one in Combat Training though, but I dont count that. Although I should, considering all those damn bots use last stand, lol. If you click my YouTube link in my sig, the video is in there. I think he means prestiging. And E92PAT, its not forced on you to prestige. If you dont want to, you dont have to. But you do get incentives for doing so. All the prestige thing does is keep the game fresh for you while you play it. It keeps giving stuff to work towards.
