Congrats!! Gun metallic is my favorite color for the R35. As as you said in your prev. post, a Cobb alone wont get you into the 10's. Those who have run the basic etune on cobb with a custom map loaded along with a midpipe have broken into the 10's. A cobb alone with midpipe will get you in the high 500 hp level. Add a catback, downpipes, intakes and fuel injectors and you could be close to 700. Once you start modding, the injectors and intake are the bottleneck because the MAF voltage gets maxed out around 5V, so theyll need to be upgraded if you want to run 17+ psi.

I agree. I think you have to at least out handle and out accelerate a base C6 before you can be considered a supercar.

Well, I've had the car for a couple weeks now and it craves much attention. I catch people taking pictures of it all the time and have already had a note left on the windshield. Every Mustang I see seems to rev at me. I'm assuming they just want to see it in action. I got the chance to run my buddy in his 650hp C6 Z06 and I just murder him off the line. We did a couple of pulls from 55-140 and he had me by 2-3 cars. I gave him a ride in it and he just couldn't believe the sensation from a stop. I mean you can floor this thing mid turn and it will hold the line. Truly nothing I've ever felt in any car. I'm liking it more everyday!

I read launch control is really not needed from a stop. Did you just rev it up a bit and do the old lift/mash?

I also read the 11's have a new set up to allow the car to be a bit more forgiving on the tush. Is your 09' that harsh?

If you golf have you tried fitting your sticks in back? I would guess it is no problem.

Running against 650hp is a bit of a miss match once his grabs on. Horses are still horses.

Basically, you can just mash the gas. I took it to an empty parking lot and played with the launch control. It has been reprogrammed for LC2 and launches @ 2800rpm now as opposed to 4000rpm from LC1 which was breaking some trannies. LC won't be a feature I use much at all (if ever). I don't think the ride is too harsh, but I don't go out looking for the worst roads either. I haven't put my golfclubs in the trunk yet but I can tell there's room for 2. This was a must as I live on a golf course.

650hp on a car that's 600-700lbs lighter is a mismatch. I was surprised that it wasn't worse. Man, that Z06 is crazy.

Congrats on the switch . I just went from a 335 to a 2010 Gt-r as well but I had a 08 M3 for two years in the middle LOL. Mine is silver. What % are your front windows? Mine had limo on it when I bought it (car had 1400 mi.) but I switched it out to 35 which looks a bit too light. Isn't the acceleration of the GT-R addicting?

I believe my tint is 20%. I can't stay off the pedal! How do you like it compared to your M3?

Man, again, awesome car! I've seen the new Porsche turbo 997.2 S in person and saw its launches. It performs flawless launches from a dig.

I found a GTR for $68K with 11K miles and it was certified which meant waranty till 100K miles! I was SO bummed when they said because its used i could best get a 7.9% loan. I went with a M3 and got 0.9% financing but will always think to myself i could have bought a GTR :-(
