My hair brained scheme of rotating the tires from one side of the car to the other acutally worked! the car was shimmying all the way to the Laguna Seca today. By lunch time, it was back in balance. At the end of the day, the wheels had self corrected and shifted back to within 1/2" of my original tire position. It looks like I don't need to buy that balancing machine afterall

That is great as long as your tires are not directional,but of course if it is dry it does not matter
