i dont know if any of you guys saw yesterday but Brock was on the Jim Rome show and said the main thing he has been working on, which he himself admitted it was by far his biggest weakness, is his stand up. We'll see how much it has improved, one thing is for sure, Velasquez is much faster and wont gas out like Carwin did. this is a very intersting match up, for both fighters. If I had to put my money on anyone, its Lesnar, anyone who can survive the round he did agaisnt Carwin, gets my vote.

WOW!

the whole card was great but man, what can you say about Velasquez. Btwn his speed and his technical ability, it was just too much for for Lesnar. While Carwin is more powerful, he was very sloppy, Velasquez had good patience and knew when to take his shots, huge win.

another great fight, was Diego Sanchez and Paulo Thiago, what a great fight. Old school Diego for sure

i wouldn't say so. look at the fights he won before.

he's very inexperience, and for what it is he did his thang holding on to that title for a while. It was obviously coming for him..i thought Carwin would strike him..which he kinda did...but Lesnar got him in a choke hold..its UFC...

I was blown away with Velasquez. I did not see that coming at all and well done to him. He proved that he was the more complete fighter and it nullified Lesnar's strength and power. Great fight.

Also, Diego was another great fight too. I would love to see that fight again too.

Lesnar was riding on his strength, size, and athletic ability. Although his wrestling is top notch, his strikes are amateur and he can't stand. Simply looks awkward and uncomfortable on his feet. His only advantage really was to lean on guys and hammerfist them lol.

Glad Cain won. It was well deserved and he is a great all around fighter and a true champion. I knew if anyone could beat Brock it would be him, but I can't say I wasn't worried that Brock would come away with the win like he did against Carwin. My theory was that if he came across a fighter he couldn't take down or control on the ground, he'd be screwed. And I was right

I am happy for Cain, no doubt the guy deserves to be a champ!!!

I however disagree with some of the comments. I think Brock looked really good until he got caught, his knees, his footing, he seemed to be developing as an mma fighter quite well. Brock's downfall is his ability to tie people up when they are on top of him. Brock is so used to being on top, that being on his back (In MMA) is a very unfamiliar and uncomfortable position for him, experience or lack there of, I should say, is what got Brock into trouble.

Also keep in mind, both times we have seen Brock on his back have been after he has been caught. Most people after being caught do not do real well on the ground if they have limited experience.

I also do not think Brock likes to be hit, most real good guys in this business do not mind being hit, Brock doesnt like it at all from what I can see.

I also thought this would be the key to the fight, I didnt think Cain would get up so easily. When Brock got the take down, I thought it would be the beginning of the end but Cain sprung back up and later on got a take down of his own.

I think Brock will be back, if he can get better w/ his hands, he can be a very dangerous opponent. Velasques vs Dos Antos will be awesome, two similar very fighers

What an awesome card! Diego looked outstanding. I was glad to see Court McGee win (hard to be down on the guy considering what kind of adversity he has come from).

I think Kampman beat himself, what was he doing trying to grapple with that guy and even submit him? I'm sure he is kicking himself for bothering with that when he had a clear advantage when striking with the guy.

Definitely surprised by Cain. He really showed how experience, focus, and being mentally unshakable wins in the Octogon. He really showed how great of a fighter he is.

Brock, again, did not respect his opponent and paid for it. I have no idea why he came blasting out of his corner like a viking berserker against a skilled opponent like that. The dude needs to slow it down, control the fight. He, and his corner, should have known better than to try that on a fighter like Cain. Brock was even throwing knees! wtf? Brock shouldn't be doing anything but trying to push Cain to the cage and take him down. And when he does get his opponent down he needs to control him, not trying to jump to side control... I thought he had learned because he came out cautiously against Randy and Shane.

Maybe Brock needs to focus a little more on his gameplan and BJJ instead of lifting weights non-stop. He has a phenomenal BJJ coach, he should use him.

Yea Brock was too busy trying to gain position and not controlling what he had so the whole thing blew up in his face, literally!!! lol

Oh man, Junior Dos Santos vs Cain is going to be GREAT!!!! On paper, this is a tough one to call! Could go either way. I like them both so as long as they both get a good fight I will super happy.

I never thought of it that way. To be honest, if you're the UFC HW Champion and you've overcome adversity in beating Carwin, I could understand Brock's mentality in charging at Cain for the takedown. Firstly, you do not want to stand with Cain, period. I think Lesnar took Carwin's beat-down as a lesson learnt. Secondly, he's bigger and stronger than Cain so he has a huge advantage. Thirdly, he's on a high. Brock looked really confident coming into this fight and the impression I got from Cain in the lead up to the fight was that he was intimidated and possibly scared. In hindsight I'm sure Brock wishes he respected Cain's skill and talent a lot more, he's well and truly proven himself to be the best in the HW division right now.

I still think Brock is one of the top HW guys and can beat almost anyone in the division based purely on his athletic ability and sheer strength and size. What he has achieved with limited experience and tools in his box is something extraordinary. I see Cain as one of the most complete MMA fighters in the HW division. He's a bit like a GSP and he looks like he's comfortable wherever the fight goes. One thing we haven't seen though is Cain taking some big shots or getting rocked, he's never been on the back foot. Lesnar gave him a few good knees but Cain took them well. Props to Cain, as others have said, the Cain v DJS fight is going to be epic.

Ben Henderson vs Franky Edgar would be awesome, Ben Henderson has been killing everyone, we'll see how he does against Anthony Pettis, the winner gets the winner of Edgar vs Maynard
