Kmarei I will do what you did so in the end you save them some money cuz the suede wheel is less expensive?

yes 660 for the performance steering wheel
and i think it was 800 something for the OEM

you could try to pay the difference from the OEM and get the electronic PSW
i didn't like that, i wanted the non-electronic one

so far i love the PSW!

Hey Kmarei,

I wanted to ask the severity of the peal? I mine is pealing on the left near the buttons, Not to noticable, but if I rub it if seems more like a plastic coating is coming off, also making it very sticky, maybe they use some sort of leather tinting compound which sucks, after a while of driving feels like your hands are glued to the wheel.

I am about to pull the trigger, on the same wheel you got as a replacement, with the only exception my car has DCT. I just don't think the dealers will be willing to replace until it is probably falling apart, thoughts?

Keep in mind you're talking about 2 things
They replaced my trim because it was pealing, it was about the size of a thumbprint.
They only replaced my entire steering wheel because the guy who installed my replacement trim scratched the leather on my steering wheel.
So they had to replace that too, which is when i suggested the PSW

Mine peeled off too and was replaced by the dealer.

It's actually pretty common for that to peel off, as well as peeling of the window switches and sometimes the area you put your hand on the drivers door armrest.

i spoke to my SA and told her instead of you guys paying $800 for a replacement M3 steering wheel. and me paying $660 for the Performance steering wheel (PSW), why don't you just replace my scratched OEM steering wheel with the PSW?
she said sure

and sure enough, 4 days later , when they got the PSW
Nice!!
