Front Splitters/Lip and Snow Question

How do the M3s with front splitters or lips do in the snow. I am looking to probably get a Vorsteiner front lip but don't want to spend the money for it to be destroyed in the winter. Also, anyone know where I can get the best price on front lips? I'm not dead set on the Vorsteiner one so other brands are cool too.

Depends on how low the car is and how deep the snow you drive in is.

i was on stock height with the lip when jersey got hit with 4 ft of snow in a week and lip was fine

It will not get ripped off unless you are hitting large chunks of hardened snow or ice. I would be more concerned about them getting scratched which can be solved with some clear-bra.

You could also do the PolyUrethane version which will be more flexible and less prone to scratches/cracking. I've seen this left unpainted similar to the lower lip on 996 Turbos and it works well if you have the matte look on the car.

I'm wondering the same thing. How much lower does Vorsteiner front lip actually make the bumper? It just sits over the bumper, not really under it so I can't see it being that much lower. Anyone have measurements on this?

I'm thinking vorsteiner front lip and challenge trunk on my e90 zcp
