Ok, so there will be 1000+ cars, but only 200 will have the cockpit view?

Nice. How do you like that seat? I'm on the fence about it. I guess the big reason is all the space it takes up. I leave my wheel/stand setup in my closet when I'm not playing. Probably can't do that with the playseats setup.

The Clubsport pedals are awesome. The feedback is so much better than the plastic pedals. All they need to do is hurry up with the clubsport shifter.

Pretty much, but I think it's more than enough. As long as they aren't wasting one of the 200 spots on cars like the prius.

the seat is pretty good, i just hate to move it, because it wont come apart unless i take 5 bolts off that connect the middle part , so i might be buying the evolution playseat since u can take it apart quickly with no tools, n since i dont have a dedicated playing room i need something i can move without breaking my back lol.

i just got the gt3rs wheel only after 3 days off ordering it but the club sport pedals are missing, do they come in a diff shipment??

yes thats true at least for now, because it takes to long to display all the interiors in the quality they are making it in, but for me i dont care, since i drive my cars with only the guages vies or the hood, makes it much easier to see the road.

Wow that wheel looks much nicer. Aside from build quality, what's different between that and the Turbo S wheel?

I ordered my clubsport pedals months later so not sure if they are supposed to ship at the same time or not.

i have not hooked it up yet to the stand, because i wanted to try it with the clubsport pedals, soi cant give a review on that, other than the looks are obvious , better steering grip, and my favorite part, the pedal shifters! they actually have a clicking sound lol, on the turbo s, it feels too tight and there is no click to them, but on this wheel they sent aluminum pedal shifters that i had to screw on to the sides, where the holes are pre made already and have nice crisp clicks.
i am going to the store now to check out the playseat.

im confused to the cockpit view debate.

some say all cars will have cockpit views of which only 150-200 have the high def with interior damage...

after reading the threads below seems like they used gt4 cars and rerendered them for ps3.

either way, this game better deliver

Yeah, there are two categories of cars, 'Premium', and 'Standard'.
Standard are cars which were taken from the previous GT games. Retextured, and tweaked for GT5, which will include some degree of damage (like scratches).
Premium cars are modeled from scratch. Full damage is included in these cars because each fender has been modeled so that GT's engine can incorporate full on body damage.

The game would've come out around 2030 if 1000+ cars had been modeled from scratch . GT6 will probably have more premium cars because PD will work from GT5's engine. Plus, it'll take half the time it took GT5 to develop since they have GT5's engine to work off of. Hope that helps .

It's coming out 11/3. Here's pictures I took from the store I was in today.

Is there any info (from Japan) about this game you would be interested in knowing?

If you truly can't wait for this game, and you want me to pick it up and ship it to you, please let me know (but it will be Japanese language version!).

You will have to take care of all the money (I will ask for some extra for my effort) and including the shipping cost, but I hope my time here has made me dependable to you. However, please don't make me bad for a problem with shipping. I will copy receipt to you for proof of shipping.

I am not a store, so I can't do many orders.

For those that can read Japanese, you may enjoy the back of this box.

Initial impressions just on the wheel though are awesome. I couldn't be happier with all the parts. My only complaint is that the leather wrapping on the wheel isn't tight enough in the corners where it meets the spokes. But the rest of it is smoother and looks pretty sharp. I'm looking at finding a F1 wheel replica to put on it anyways, and the fact that I can even switch the wheel out leaves me ecstatic.
opted to go with the Driving Force GT...now it's a waiting game til i get it!

Since GT4, hood view is my Go-To view. Pull off my best lap times with it. I like to use cockpit every now and then just to simulate the real driving experience.

Worst Views:

-Completely behind car view (what most newbies use - "oooh i can see the pretty car" - that's what replays are for)

-street level view. not nearly as bad, but still doesnt give you an idea of chassis width.
