Additional shipping charge?

I am in the process of ordering a new 2011 M3 but i am skeptical of some bs charges from the dealer. First of all they are giving me a 6% discount off msrp which seems to be a little more than 1k over invoice? If that is the case, that seems to be about average. Secondly they are saying they require an additional shipping fee above the destination fee in order to ship from CA to AZ...I am ordering the car in AZ but will my new car even come from CA let alone require an additional fee? Any feedback would be appreciated thanks!

They are trying to rip you off. The $875 destination fee included in the MSRP cover shipping to the dealer in AZ. The car will land in CA and then be transported to AZ. If you were buying the car from a dealer in CA and asking them to ship it to you in AZ, then yes some additional shipping charges would apply...

Seems like a confusion between you and your dealer about "ordering" a car. You may be thinking ordering your car from fresh build and they may be thinking to find you a car from another dealer that is located in CA.

If they literally mean that you have to pay extra to get your car transported from the port in CA with a fresh build, they are trying to rip you off and/or just don't want to custom order for you. Either way, find another dealer to compare.

+ 1. If you want to custom order a car to you're specs do just that. Are you buying from AX dealer.
