Foreign Car Insurance

Hi Everyone,

Thinking of bringing my vehicle to the UK from home.

Wanted to know if anyone knows of an insurance company who would be able to insure a foreign plated vehicle while its in the UK?

Thanks guys

P.S. Looking forward to meet with you all

Thanks, I am in the process of doing that.

Just thought maybe you guys dealt with a few good ones or companies and it would help a fellow M owner

If you have, or can have, USAA (military or ex-military) check them out; they have the best rates for US cars in for example France, Germany. Expat websites also list a # of insurance companies that specialize in such insurance.

Wow! I saw this way too late.

But Clements in Washington DC insures you all over europe.

While in Law School, I had my E46 M3 vert shipped over to London; had it insured for $US 1800/year full coverage including the entire EU minus Albania/Bulgaria and Turkey.

Compared to UK insurance prices that was a very good deal.
