1. 'BP' didn't lose all that money...the shareholders did. (granted insiders lost too)
2. The stock is already recovering so the loss is already greatly reduced.

Regardless there will be a ~10-20 billion loss on BP's part, but certainly not 100 billion...

I'm sure they have some sort of insurance but I still wouldn't call this chump change. And the figures are just mind boggling, I mean even if BP doesn't directly pay for it, the money's gotta come from somewhere, right?

im not sure about your areas, but my town, BP gas prices are 15-20cents more expensive than the rest of the stations here...not sure why people fill up there, the only thing i can think of is their stations are very clean and big, and their selections of junk snacks are more abundant...
