quick recommendations for sub/amp install Enhanced Prem System

Title says it all. I am going ahead with my audio upgrade + need just a quick bit of help.

I am going to install a JL 10W6 with a 500.1 V2 amp. I was planning on using the plug-n-play harness that was available, but since there have been some issues, I am in need of advice.

From my reading, I have come to the conlusion that I will need the AudioControl LC6i or something similar. I came across the Hifonics MX-1 that has also been used. Does anyone have opinions as to which would be easier/best to use?

Any other helpful information would be greatly appreciated!

First off, you don't need an LC6i to add and amp and a subwoofer.

You use the term "system", but you only mention adding an amp and sub. Are you adding mids and tweets?

You need some way to take the woofer signal out of the Top HiFi amp, and run it into an amplifier. Technic uses the Navone LOC. I don't. I usually use a Zapco amp and a Zapco SLDIN.BTL attenuator - works great, no LF rolloff to worry about - but Technic's way works.

Sub, amp, high-wattage LOC, you're done. Run it off the sub outputs of the amp. The LC6i and similar devices are for channel summing, and that's rarely needed in E9x for full systems, and never for subs.
