Handling of M3 vs 135i w/ M sport package

How does the handling of a M3 compare to a 135i w/ M sport package?

serious question? not comparable. suspension is of another league and the M3 has a LSD. M-sport package has nothing to do with the M3.

If you compare stock cars, m3 will kill 135i. But if you spend about 4 maybe 5 grand on suspension of 135i, than that clown above will be laughing at stock m3

Coming from the guy who owns a 135. You show me a 135 with 5k worth of work that will outperform an m3. Shit...I bet that not even the new 1-series M will outperform an M3.

Have you ever driven an M3? I can tell you that I have driven a 1-Series and I don't care what you do to that car (within reason), it will not outperform an M3 on it's best day.

Honestly, its very foolish and ignorant of you to make such a ridiculous comment. I don't think anyone in their right mind will choose a 1-series (plus $5k in upgrades) over a stock M3 unless it was affordability issue.

given that I currently have a 135i with JB3, DP's, KW V2 coilovers, Potenza RS-01's sticky tires, and 10/12mm spacers, I can safely say that you are 100% wrong!

try again.

It is more then 100 kg lighter then M3, but it has shorter wheelbase and narrower track width. It has no LSD that makes big difference and I assume that its aerodynamics not as good as 3rd series. It might be a bit faster only in slower corners, but it is lot more difficult to drive. I think that 335i much better car then 135i

It is a serious question.
I drove a 135i vert in which the steering was very sluggish.

I have a chance to get into a 135i coupe w/ M Sport package now, or wait 6 months and get into a E90 M3.

If you can not wait to get into M3, I would buy 123d with M Sport package. It is much better car then 135i. But I would wait for M3.

I used to own a 135i and now I have an M3 on order.

Don't under estimate the 135i. Slap JB on it, and it's an even bigger rocket. However... around the track the M3 creams it unless you spend some $$ on suspension.

I loved my 135i until I drove the M3 w/DCT.

I was not really happy with the 135i until I reworked the suspension with mainly M3 parts and AST's. From a handling standpoint it made a huge leap. Next car will still be an E90 M3, though. My AST's should bolt right up.
