Anyone had a treadmill recommendation?
I'm looking for a treadmill that will fold up.
Hoping to keep it around $1000 or less. What should I look for? ANy particular brand that's good? Thanks. .

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I was about to pust a quick reply and then got sucekd into the animated gif for 30 seconds... and then proceded to stare at the avatar above...
I bought a Smooth fitness treadmill about 5 years ago for my basement gym. It works pretty well. My wife and I have been using it very consistently at least 2x a week each. We're thinking about upgrading to a Landice or "pro" model with the next purchase. OUr only complaint abou thte smooth, is that since it has a folding deck/track, the deck is not as stable as the fixed deck models. We have been to hotel gyms and like the stability and cushioning of the Landice / Pro models. Best recommendation - check out treadmill doctor and get a relatively inexpensive treadmill to see if you actually use it. Multiple friends of ours bought treadmills, and they use it to hang up their laundry...

True makes a great treadmill.
http://www.truefitness.com/ I don't know if they have fold-up models though. Sorry.

Thanks for the replies.
MCS, I got sucked in too. My wife's been using it regularly for a year now before I got on it. Those TRUE models seem really nice, but don't look like they fold up.

Smooth Fitness is an internet direct company with treadmills and ellipticals that are much cheaper than the big names and rank much higher than the big names.
