RENN Spec | Photos from Industry Track Day at Buttonwillow Raceway

Once a year Mackin is the host for "Industry Day" for all those that are in the automotive industry to bring their cars out and enjoy a day at the track with fellow "industry" friends.

We took advantage of the track day and brought out our cars for test/tune to get it dialed in.

Our cars we had in attendance were:
Porsche GT3
E92 M3 ESS S/C'd
Z4M Coupe
E46 M3
Evo IX

Z4MC needed a bit suspension fine tuning, but ended up only running 3 of 5 sessions of the day due to seat side mount failure (Cracked).

E46M3 was on a new spring setup and needed to relearn the car and fine tune the suspension dampening.

E92M3 was out there for the first time w/ the charger/brakes/suspension... totally different beast, we wanted to see how the car performed in street trim/settings and needed to find out what the car likes and how it reacts to suspension dampening adjustments when being tossed around on the track. We're glad to report that the S/C held up in the 90+deg weather running 20+min sessions with not a single problem. ESS TUNING!!! :thumbsup2:

Porsche GT3 is on a new wheel/tire/fender setup since the last time its been at the track so we needed to see how the car handled with the current spring rates with the much wider wheels/rubber.

We'll be back at the track again soon with all the cars for more testing!

Getting chased by an Evo X w/ Intake , Exh, Tune, springs/sways, Rcomp tires (NT01), I'm on street tires (Federal 595 RSR).

Beautiful cars! I love those uber lightweight wheels on the E92 M3.. Thanks so much for sharing!

I'm glad to know that shops are actually making the effort to test their cars on the track!

The timers weren't working properly that day but the z4m is running 2:01, GT3 at 2:03 and e46 M3 at 2:04.

Of course! We focus so much on suspension that it would be absurd not to!
